EveryMatrix Software Limited license suspended by the UKGC
The UKGC has suspended the license of Malta-based EveryMatrix Software Ltd on concerns relating to customer interaction and compliance.
The UK Gambling Commission has earned a reputation for taking a no-nonsense approach to regulation. Back in July, we wrote a blog about the UK Gambling Commission which logged a record 8,266 complaints against British gambling operators in 2018. In today’s news, we learn about EveryMatrix’s License Suspension which is the latest online casino operator to face discipline. We have the details next.
EveryMatrix License suspension
Unlike our previous blog, this latest casino operator to make our news was not fined but had their licence suspended by the UKGC due to concerns regarding compliance and customer interaction. EveryMatrix Software Limited, which is headquartered in Malta, operates several casinos including PlayFrank. As a result of the suspension, the operator EveryMatrix will no longer be permitted to, “offer remote facilities for real event betting other than pool betting or betting on virtual events and to operate a remote casino.”
The operator of brands, including PlayFrank.com, is working round the clock to update their operations in to order to have the ban lifted.
Working to correct the deficiencies
While PlayFrank is operated by EveryMatrix, it is important to remember that it’s business as usual, despite EveryMatrix’s License Suspension, at the casino as their operations are independent of the operations of EveryMatrix. For its part, EveryMatrix has stated that they take the suspension very seriously and are working hard, including weekends, to correct the deficiencies identified. They have provided the UKGC with the improvements and hope to have the suspension lifted within the week.
